North Devon District Council is to conduct a survey in a bid to increase the accessibility of its website to aid disabled users.
The council will canvass public opinion, attempting to discern what changes could be made to their online offering to benefit persons with disabilities.
Changes are set to be made to the service as part of the council's bid to create a new disability equality scheme, which will also examine other media such as forms and bills, the North Devon Gazette reports.
The council's diversity officer, Emily Poyner, remarked: "We want to find out how easy, or difficult, it is for disabled people to access council services and to do so we need as many people as possible to respond."
"Only then can we make sure our services provide equal access to all."
The council's website currently features several accessibility options, but councillor Sue Sewell states that improvements can still be made to help "the people who really matter".
