Websites are increasingly important to the success of fashion retailers, an expert at Browns has claimed.

Browns, in London, is one of the most prestigious fashion stores in the UK, offering items handpicked from international designers and describing itself as "a temple of style".

Clients from around the world are using the company's website, which is becoming a vital part of the organisation, claims managing director Niki Scordi.

"Our clients are increasingly using the Internet to extend their relationship with Browns, whether UK or internationally based," she remarked.

"We aim to offer a wide range of online services to enhance our clients’ experience beyond what is already available."

Ms Scordi commented as the company aims to make improvements to its online offering, including several usability features such as navigation, product layout and adding new areas to browse.

An expert at WebEx recently predicted that the Internet will evolve into an indispensable business tool in the future.
