Derbyshire County Council is set to implement a new online recruitment system.
The tool will initially be used by the council in co-ordination with two other local authorities, with plans for rollout at five further bodies in the next few months, reports Publictechnology.net.
As the first of its kind to be implemented in the country, the e-recruitment partnership system is designed to widen the pool of applicants available to the council without incurring additional costs.
When using the tool, council officials can add job descriptions, communicate with applicants, publish advertisements, create shortlists, and issue contracts and carry out associated management tasks.
The system can be centrally administered by Derbyshire County Council and is expected to handle more than 250 roles every week.
Derbyshire council recently implemented a new anti-social behaviour website, designed to cascade information to members of the public on types of incident and how best to report them.
