Creating a more accessible e-commerce website will mean more profits for an organisation, according to one expert.

Yuri Filiminov, writing on WebProNews, states that the financial benefits to be gained from improving a website are clear - as it will become more "human friendly" and allow user interaction more effectively.

"Thus, site owners, who want to succeed in online business, need more people-friendly websites, after all, so their potential clients could use their sites to buy from them," he writes.

Additionally, the expert states that managers who are comfortable with web design principles could use a consultant to evaluate their site - while those who are not may need a site to be constructed for them.

Earlier this week, a web designer for Powergen warned that sites which fail to comply with accessibility standards could exclude eight million potential customers in the UK.
