The California State University Northridge (CSUN) event on web accessibility is to feature webcasts.

Aiming to discuss matters such as the potential use of assistive technology including screen readers, the Technology & Persons with Disabilities Conference will take place on March 19th to 24th 2007.

The 22nd instalment of the US event will feature free live webcasts for professionals or other parties wishing to learn more about the subject of web accessibility.

CSUN's Center on Disabilities states its mission is to facilitate: "Scholarship and active learning, furthering the vision of an inclusive society which supports the attainment of academic, professional and personal goals for persons of all abilities."

Various disabilities are considered by the experts, including visual and hearing impairment, aging, mobility difficulties and cognitive disorders.

Ultimately, the centre sets its goal as "changing the world for persons with disabilities", which it aims to achieve by instilling the values of communication, optimism, respect and excellence.
