Transport for London (TfL) is hoping to make life easier for the capital's travellers by relaunching its website.
The body's new portal will provide a number of additional services to web users, including the provision of a new journey planning service, which will send SMS with up-to-date information to their mobiles.
Additionally, a subscription service is available via the website which is designed to provide timely information for commuters via the mobile network, while travellers can also pay congestion charges or top up oyster cards online.
A live travel news section can be accessed, that provides details of delays and other issues with the tube, bus, coach, river, tram, road and rail networks.
The site has also been designed with usability in mind, as TfL has specifically incorporated icons which will be familiar to regular users of London's transportation network.
TfL states that these "design standards" are "essential for promoting a high level of quality and consistency across all communications" and "ensuring brand consistency".
