A new website has been created to provide help and support for disabled individuals in Wiltshire.

The service was created by Rachel Stockton, a 22-year-old cerebral palsy sufferer in Calne, who was given £500 from the Prince's Trust to help people in the local area, reports The Gazette & Herald.

Although the site is not yet up and running, Ms Stockton hopes that it will be available for Internet users to find support in the coming months.

The service aims to provide a social network for individuals who may be at risk of detachment and isolation due to their circumstances.

"I just want to get people out into the community and not feel so isolated," remarked Ms Stockton.

"I am having a few problems with setting up the web page, but I'm working through them."

A number of schemes operate for disabled individuals in Wiltshire, including a rehabilitation programme which aims to foster independence in the home.
