A new accessible online recruitment magazine has been launched - the first of its kind in the UK, according to its creators.
Launched by Welsh Recruitment and the Royal National Institute of the Blind (RNIB) Cymru, the site will feature accessibility options such as mouseless navigation and text size alteration, reports onrec.com.
The new service has been created in bid to tackle the 75 per cent unemployment rate among blind and partially-sighted individuals in Wales.
Kate Hughes, Policy and Communications Officer for RNIB Cymru, commented: "It is often impossible for people to read recruitment adverts and complete application forms as they are inaccessible."
She added that this makes the application process much more difficult for blind and visually-impaired individuals.
Last year, RNIB Cymru attended the Eisteddfod culture festival in Wales in a bid to promote the issues faced by persons with sight problems when trying to gain employment.
Officials used visual aid and games such as giant snakes and ladders to demonstrate the barriers which can be exclusionary to many people.
