The EU has revealed it is making the world of food accessible to children with the launch of a new website.
With more than 400,000 children becoming obese in the EU every year, Commissioners have decided to take action by harnessing the power of the Internet.
The EU MiniChefs portal offers children the chance to develop an interest in culinary skills, with fun activities such as competitions and friendly cooking advice to MiniChefs.
Furthermore, the W3-approved website offers interactive features such as 'Europe on a Plate', in which users can select different countries from a map and learn some recipes from that location.
This might include autumn Bockwurstchen salad from Germany or strawberries with orange granite Spain.
Earlier this year, new regulations surrounding the promotion of fast food on the Internet were announced to protect children against exposure to junk food.
However, BBC News reported that some organisations - such as the National Union of Teachers - thought the rules could go further.
