A new website is being launched in the US, designed to provide support for elderly and disabled persons and their carers.

The portal will be offered by Coastline Elderly Services, a local not-for-profit organisation that seeks to support individuals in the area.

Called Network of Care, the programme has been financially supported by the Area Agency on Aging and has designed to be accessible by all users, irrespective of age, literacy or income level, reports South Coast Today.

The website will contain accessibility features such as a text-only version and compatibility with assistive technologies.

Using the site, individuals will be able to access information on services, as well as details so that users can understand policy initiatives and find adaptive devices that will be of use to them in the home.

Coastline Elderly Services' mission is to "enhance the lives of seniors, caregivers and those with similar needs by assisting them to remain independent through a range of quality services".
