The Renewable Energy Centre has announced that it has experienced a record number of visits to the windpower section of its website.
According to the organisation, this is a clear indication of increased interest in renewable energy, thanks to its widespread portrayal in the UK media.
Both individuals and organisations have used the site to access information, said the body.
Richard Simmons, founder of The Renewable Energy Centre, commented: "In order to help any individual or organisation research windpower and how it applies to them The Renewable Energy Centre is an invaluable resource."
He added that the site features a broad range of information, including a national directory of products and an introduction to the subject.
In addition to windpower, the site contains tips for Britons wishing to save energy in their own home, with information on double glazing, insulation and draught proofing.
