Disabled fans have more accessibility to information about game attendance with the launch of a new Internet initiative, according to the Rugby Football League (RFL).
The RFL has dedicated a section of its web space that will tell supporters with disabilities the information they might need when attending games at Super League and Co-operative National League grounds, it said.
Users will be able to navigate through a variety of pages for useful information, such as the number of wheelchair spaces available at each stadium, guide dogs suitability, accessibility to toilets and refreshments and contact details for each club’s disabled liaison officer.
The pages, accessed via the In League Together banner on the RFL website, has been put together in conjunction with the Rugby League Disabled Supporters Association.
RFL Operations Director Emma Rosewarne said: "We believe we are making a positive move by making this information available on-line and hope that those who download it find it useful."
More than eight million people in the UK have some kind of disability, according to Sport England.
