Anyone wishing to consult on the Web Accessibility Initiative's (WAI's) Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA) suite now has three weeks to do so.

The call for review, which was published at the start of June, expires on July 6th, with updated working drafts of these documents available for interested parties.

WAI-ARIA comprises strategies and properties, roles and a roadmap for accessibility, designed to be used by web developers involved with assistive technologies, accessibility evaluation and technical specifications.

According to the WAI, the suite "defines how to make more advanced features of dynamic content and rich Internet applications accessible to people with disabilities".

Its main thrust is to define ways in which user interfaces such as navigation bars can be made more accessible.

The WAI-ARIA documents have been created by the Protocols and Formats Working Group, which is a joint venture of the WAI and the World Wide Web Consortium.
