ASDA is taking the step of putting their clothing ranges into cyberspace by launching a transactional website for their George clothing range.

The new website will be launched in February 2008, and will feature a 1000 piece range of womenswear, menswear and childrenswear available to all UK customers.  Along with Marks & Spencer, ASDA hope to move into this market before Tesco.

Global Managing Director for George, Angela Spindler, said:

George is the most asked for online offer from ASDA shoppers. A lot of people in the UK don't have access to the brand.

ASDA also plans to re-launch in America next year; they already stock a limited range via Wal-mart’s website.
