Creating a better user experience online is becoming an increasingly important area for internet marketers, according to new research by E-consultancy.
It has been found that almost three quarters (72 percent) of UK organisations intend to increase the amount spent on usability over the coming year, more than any other area of internet marketing. This demonstrates that in the Web 2.0 world the quality of experience at websites is paramount.
The 'Usability and User Experience Report 2007' also found that Amazon, the BBC and Google were considered to be the best brands in terms of user experience.
Companies and other organisations spend, on average, around 13 per cent of their website design budgets on usability. The main benefits of this being improved brand perception, better conversion rates and greater customer loyalty.
