The Stakeholders Group of Yahoo! accessibility has taken more of an active stance in accessibility by helping minimise the amount of unlabeled images on Yahoo! websites.

Yahoo! is calling for all developers and designers to pay more attention to attributes on a web page that are not easily seen with the use of a screen reader. Yahoo! is concerned with the lack of alternative text for images alienating screen reader users and losing their valued custom.

Victor Tsaran, of Yahoo's Accessibility Program spoke about this issue of yahoo’s official blog:

The ALT= campaign is just one of the many programs my team has created to help Yahoo keep universal accessibility in mind as they design and build our products. We hope it'll improve experience across our network.
