An Ontario mental health website that promises to help health workers and the general public connect with each other was launched in London yesterday.
The new EServices website from ConnexOntario utilises service listings and maps to allow the public to search for health information and treatment centres. Health professionals are benefited by being able to search for regional addictions treatment and patient care. The website will also allow clinicians to book appointments for patients online, treat other related health disorders and speed access to treatment.
The new interface has grabbed the attention of international mental health workers from England and New Zealand who detoured to the London launch from a conference in Ottawa this week.
George Askoorum, associate director for England's health department said
We'd like to see where we can borrow some of the features of this site to make what we have more efficient.
