Club TV, a provider of nightclub parties for teenagers has conducted some research that found that the 13-17 year olds of the UK are technology-rich.

Nine out of ten 13-17 year olds use instant messaging once a week, with over half using it daily.Statistics showed that 89% own a mobile phone, 65% a computer and 60% an MP3 player. A fifth of this age group (17%) own all three.

What is more interesting results in the high percentage use of social applications. The results revealed that 47% of those asked in the survey regularly read blogs and 35% write their own blogs. The availability of technology also affects their choice of higher education, 67% say that the availability of technology available to them would affect their choice, with 42% claimed they wouldn’t attend a university that didn’t provide services such as instant messaging.
