A recent survey conducted by NetExtract has found that many UK online retailer websites are not offering customers the information they require. Information such as contact details, delivery options and customer feedback feature are the most common elements forgotten.
A sample of 100,000 e-commerce websites were monitored in the UK, incredibly 60% of UK online retailers failed to provide a telephone number on their website, whilst 43% offered no business address and 39% provided no contact email address.
Contact details are a very basic feature of a website and it is a crucial tool to install customer trust.
Other studies conducted identify that online retailers are starting to realise the importance of these basics, specifically customer reviews are being used by 28% of online retailers and many were also planning to add this feature to their websites.
