A new Web TV channel for Vegetarians has been launched this week by TV presenter and entrepreneur Karin Ridgers.
For the past 18 months, Ridgers has been liasing with various TV stations to get a healthy TV programme off the ground. After many setbacks and lack of take up of her idea, Karin decided to create her own Internet TV station; VeggieVision.co.uk.
The site is now looking for new presenters as well as encouraging people to send in their own video content.
So far the site features public figures such as Joanna Lumley, Sean Hughes, Jodie Marsh and Benjamin Zephaniah.
Ridgers said:
VeggieVision.com has already received an amazing response from all over the UK, Germany, Australia and Thailand. We would love to hear from people with all different backgrounds from the UK and further a field who have something positive to say about veggie living.
We are now watching programmes differently and watching the Internet more. So maybe being ahead of time is a positive attribute and not a set back. At the moment we have a selection of short programmes that people can click and watch with many more coming soon.
