Google’s top 100 properties accounted for one third of all Internet traffic in the UK during March 2008.

The properties accounted for 36.55% of upstream traffic to all categories of websites during March, up from 30.19% in March 2007.

With a market share of 7.77% www.google.co.uk was the most visited Google property in the UK last month.  It was also the third most visited website in the UK. It was responsible for 27.48% of all upstream traffic.  www.google.com was the second most popular property with a 1.70% market share.

YouTube, purchased by Google in 2006, was the third most visited property.  The video sharing website accounted for 1.31% of all UK Internet visits. The online blog publishing platform Blogger was the seventh most visited property, highlighting the popularity of web 2.0 applications.

Google Image UK and webmail service, Gmail, were the fourth and fifth most visited properties respectively.
