Accessibility Policy and Guidelines

A close up image of pages of a bookWe recommend the creation of a web accessibility policy because it will explain your commitment to web accessibility and summarise the approach you are taking to make web accessibility part of your business as usual.

We will work with you to gather all the information needed for an organisational web accessibility policy. We will then invite you to review a draft version of the policy to ensure that it meets your requirements, before we finalise it for formal release. Typically an organisational web accessibility policy would include:

  • Policy intention, which describes the purpose of the policy.
  • Policy principles, which describe the accessibility standards expected of all your web products.
  • Policy timetable, which outlines the timetable for implementing the policy across all your new and web products.
  • Policy resources, which indicate what resources are available to assist with the policy’s implementation.
