Usability Testing
Usability testing is all about seeing how people actually use your website or app. Representative members of your online audience will complete real goals and journeys through your site, allowing us to uncover issues and insights.
Our experienced analysts use our proven methodology, based on sound psychological and observational principles, to uncover the finer details of your experience.
Unlike many agencies, we don't make your audience feel uncomfortable and tell us what they think we want to hear by putting them in front of a one-way mirror: this lowers the ecological validity of the usability testing session and the quality of the results. Eye tracking can also supplement usability testing appropriate (to uncover specific design detail). To ensure our approach is 'humanised' and reflects the real-world we will test with people with disabilities to uncover accessibility issues.
Observing the test sessions is a valuable experience for clients. You will see first-hand the issues being experienced and how it impacts the overall experience. One of our experts will be on hand to discuss the testing with you and explain any of the finer details or nuances from the sessions.
Our observation facilities are removed from the actual testing rooms, ensuring that you can talk freely (without worrying about being overheard by the test participants) and in comfort with an expert as your guide. This involves three experts trained in psychology and interaction and not typically one person to do everything because it reduces the quality of the insights and ultimately the results.
