I was VERY impressed with the high quality of Nomensa's training. Everything from the course materials to the venue and even the food was of the highest standard and I left knowing that I'd been given honest realistic training and advice that would actually help me do the job I need to do. Given the opportunity, I would definitely use Nomensa again.

This half day course will teach you how to create accessible PDFs and to understand why PDFs are by default not accessible. Accessible PDFs can be read by screen-readers and other assistive technologies, helping those who are visually impaired.

Course outline

It is important to make sure that your website is accessible to give the best possible user experience. It is therefore important that all documents that you upload to your site are also accessible. PDFs are not accessible by default for those with visual impairments and a process is needed to create an accessible version and requires human intervention to do so. This course will give you the knowledge to be able to do this, allowing you to upload documents to your website with confidence that they are accessible to all.

Who should attend?

This course is appropriate to those who edit and update website content.
