What clients say about Nomensa's Training:

Forestry Commission

I was very impressed with Nomensa's expertise and how well they shared their knowledge during the training session. I fully recommend Nomensa as a training provider and have personally signed up for a further two courses.

Linney Design

Thanks for an interesting course. It was well informed by research and real-world testing, and the host did a great job of reinforcing points of which I was already aware, revealing new approaches that I wasn't, and encouraging contributions from those attending. I'm keen to share what I've learned with colleagues, and I'd recommend the course to anyone seeking to make the most of their words online.

The University of Teeside

There was a lot of relevant information covered and I particularly liked the practical aspect - being able to ask questions about the problems I have been experiencing at work. The CD-ROM and websites provided useful information for me to bring back to my colleagues and allowed me to work through some of the information I had learnt.

Office of Public Guardianship

The trainer was excellent in his delivery and the pace and content of the course was excellent. I have picked up some excellent tips on how to write for the web and look forward to putting them in to practice.

Derbyshire County Council

I found the course extremely useful and informative. I will be able to use the skills I learnt to educate our web authors in providing good, accessible, consistent and above all well written website content.

Guide Dogs for the Blind Association

With 40 years' experience of working and attending training courses, this was one of the best I have ever attended. The pace of the day was also first class: setting the parameters then following up with an exercise is a well-established and successful teaching method.

CHASE hospice care for children

We came away feeling much better informed not only in terms of the writing style itself and online presentation which is essential to engage the user. We also gained an understanding into other issues, particularly the need for accessibility – an important aspect particularly for us as a charity involved with people who could have disabilities.

I can highly recommend this course to anyone involved in administering a website – and feel sure that our site as a result will be more user friendly.

Digital Detox

The course for me was not an opportunity to learn the guidelines word-for-word but more importantly to learn about the people and technologies that benefit from the guidelines. It's sometimes quite easy to forget that developing with accessibility in mind is far more than simply validating your markup and adding some alternate descriptions.

Haringey Council

I was VERY impressed with the high quality of Nomensa's training. Everything from the course materials to the venue and even the food was of the highest standard and I left knowing that I'd been given honest realistic training and advice that would actually help me do the job I need to do. Given the opportunity, I would definitely use Nomensa again.

Lloyds TSB

I found the situations and discussions to be of particular use, especially the strategy arguments. The practical session using the assistive technology on site gave real understanding to the problems that some users can face with websites that are not correctly designed. I certainly felt I had gained knowledge and understanding I could take back to my work environment. I would be happy to recommend this course to anyone interested in designing or testing websites as a good overview of web accessibility legislation and guidelines.

The course included both a general overview and scope of accessibility from both a business and social perspective, followed by a technical explanation relating to the regulatory side of accessibility in the afternoon. I would recommend this course to anyone that wishes to have a better understanding of accessibility and even more so for anyone that is going to be looking at accessibility as part of a job or regulatory assessment.

Mendip District Council

Accessibility Explained inspired me to seriously think about how our website was put together, giving me a thorough understanding of how to enhance the experience of all our visitors, regardless of any level of ability or disability. I now feel confident that I can put my ideas on creating an accessible website into practice.

North Hertfordshire District Council

The writing for the web course was the best course I've ever been on. The Nomensa team provided training which is really applicable to my every day work. The exercises were excellent and I will be passing all this information on to the team.

Equality South West

The course was well structured and expertly delivered by Nomensa providing enough information. It really is a must attend course for people who like myself paid little, or no attention to the impact poor writing for the web has on client usability and overall experience of the web.

Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council

We thought the course was excellent, by applying Nomensa’s user centered approach, we will continue to build upon and deliver a usable and accessible website to the people of Trafford.
