Bid Management Lead

With almost 100 staff across Bristol, London and Amsterdam, we now have an exciting opportunity for a Bid Management Lead to join our Bid team in Bristol. This is a permanent role with plenty of scope to bring new processes and ways of working. Nomensa is driven by continuous improvement and best practice so you can really put your own mark on this role.
What you’ll be doing
The Bid team is long established at Nomensa, and as Bid Management Lead you will take ownership of the production of proposals and bids and ensure the smooth running of the bid process, ensuring that all bids are of an exceptional quality. This will involve constantly improving on our internal bid processes and proposal assets, managing and coordinating people’s time in the form of Designers, Developers, UX Practitioners and Client Services team, as well as building and developing a team with shared standards that enable every client to receive bids of the highest quality.
You will proactively seek out and qualify new tender opportunities, manage the bid qualification process for new opportunities with new and existing clients and ensure timely delivery of compliant and commercially sound bids to support the team to achieve its sales targets. Continual review and improvement of the quality of bids and bid process will be imperative as Bid Management Lead, reporting relevant changes to management and ensure the team are kept up to date with training and presentations
This position will manage our Bristol based Bid team, ensuring the team perform in line with expectations and lead, motivate and challenge to manage performance effectively.
What we need from you
We’re looking for someone with significant previous experience in a senior Bid Management position, ideally in the government, IT, design or professional services sectors. Demonstrable track record of delivering successful complex bids and a love of process is vital, as is good project management and organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to continually challenge the status quo and drive new processes during our growth. Invariably our bids will involve design, software development, research, user testing, accessibility, and these can be very complex - working with and galvanising various talented practitioners and subject matter experts to produce a well-crafted and accurately budgeted response, so an ability to communicate with all manner of different people is vital.
