What you’ll be doing

The role of a Junior Test Engineer at Nomensa is to help ensure quality at all levels of product development, from inception through to delivery. You will form part of several core project teams and will be responsible for requirement gathering, identifying and managing defects, and assisting our clients with UAT. You will work closely with our development, project management and client services teams to ask questions, challenge the norm and to provide the best possible experiences to our clients and end users, through rigorous testing processes.

The role is strongly focused on manual testing, however as you gain experience in the role you might be required to work with developers to help define and build automated test suites.

This is a great opportunity for you to dive deeper into the fast-paced world of website, CMS and mobile application development, and to work in an environment where we have one of the largest teams of UX specialists in Europe, and user driven research is everything!

Requirements

Essential:

  • Experienced in manual (essential) and automation (desirable) testing
  • Experience in any programme language like C, C#, Java, Python, Vue.js, PHP
  • Experience in any CMS/CRM systems like Drupal, Stripe, WP, MS Dynamics, OR similar.
  • Experience on one or more testing tools and libraries such as Jest, Robot framework, Cypress, Selenium OR similar.
  • Experience of supporting in conducting Functional & Non-Functional testing using appropriate tool set.
  • Experience of using testing test management & Defect Management tools like JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint or other similar tools.
  • Have an understanding of Agile Scrum
  • Ability to manage conflicting projects in a fast-paced environment, whilst working closely with clients and internal stakeholders.

Desirable:

  • SC/DBS Clearance or ability to be cleared.
  • Experience in a fast-paced technology environment
  • Experience working within or on Government projects
  • Experience of testing Middleware and API’s using tools like RestAssured, Postman, SoapUI, OR similar
  • Experience of working in a DevOps and Software delivery environment and teams with exposure to Continuous integration delivery tools/environment
  • Understanding of BDD and TDD methodologies
