What you’ll be doing 

Based in our Bristol office, the Product Owner will add immense value at Nomensa in the way we shape, scope and define projects from the outset. You’ll be playing a key role in pitches, working closely with our client services and bid management teams to gather client requirements effectively, and then, during delivery, ensuring that we are delivering what we always set out to. 

The Product Owner supports the commercial team in winning business by gathering requirements, scoping solutions, providing expert advice and product road-mapping. During delivery, you’ll be responsible for specification of requirements in accordance with agreed procedures, contributing to efficiency, profitability and client satisfaction.  

This will be a hybrid role that combines the traditionally ‘hands on’ duties you’d associate with Product Manager position, coupled with the strategic vision that’s essential from being a Product Owner.  

What we need from you 

With previous commercial experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner in the tech industry, you’ll ideally be someone with great customer facing skills, inquisitive in asking the right questions during the pitch phase and effectively gathering and documenting these requirements. You’ll act as the single voice of truth from that point on - the voice of the customer within Nomensa.  

You’ll have demonstrable experience at feeding development teams with great user stories to produce a good backlog of work at a high state of readiness, to maximise their efficiency and quality of work.  

You’ll also need to be highly collaborative with other colleagues, as your role will be pivotal in harnessing the ‘power of three’ to produce great work – brilliant UX, design and technology! Previous experience as a Business Analyst would be useful, but not essential.
