Salary: Competitive salary           Location: Bristol

What you'll be doing

We have an enviable track record in designing digital experiences for a roster of household name clients across the commercial, public and not-for-profit sectors, and we are industry pioneers in web accessibility. You’ll be managing our team of Web Developers, leading the team and creating a culture of web development best practice. You’ll also be responsible for the development environment and managing internal projects such as creating a new front-end toolkit and leading on CI, automation and also identifying new concepts and emerging technologies that will benefit us as a business. You will also be supporting the Studio Director in forecasting resources, ensuring our development resource needs meet our capabilities. Aside from managing the web development team, you’ll be the ‘voice’ who represents the team in the wider business, and also on client pitches where appropriate.

What we need from you

We’re looking for someone with a passion for web development and the ability to inspire and grow our team of developers. We need you to have proven management experience as this is one of the key aspects of the role, and it’s a multi-disciplinary team you’ll be managing. Equally, you’ll have client facing experience and good commercial knowledge with the ability to lead on technical pitches, briefs, costings and resource management. We’re very open to your background but you’ll ideally know agencies inside out, and have proven web development skills, either HTML5, PHP / Drupal or Python along with management tools such as JIRA and Gitlab. Although development won’t be a significant part of your role you might still need to get into the code from time to time.

It’s a happy environment and we are one of the few companies within the UK to achieve Gold Standard accreditation by Investors in People. Come and talk to us, and you’ll soon understand why it’s a great place to work.
